Ten of Moods, 2021
10 glazed ceramic candleholders, candles, collaborative flag piece
Part of duo exhibition Flying no. 9 — Ten of Moods with Á. Birna Björnsdóttir at The Pole, Rotterdam
Photos by Katrina Niebergal
We follow hybrid beings; part stars, part flowers, part trees, part humans, and part candle-holders in their self realisation and increasing complexity. They are spirits singing, growing, learning; illuminating each other and the rooms they inhabit. Harbingers of fortune, present mirrors and remnants of past hurdles — stories braiding, folding, coiling and branching out as domestic reminders of our communal and cosmic narrative.
